(1) The polypropylene is a thermoplastic polymer with a density between 0.90 and 0.92g/m3, and a melting point between 160°C and 170°C. This economical polymer with high strength is commonly used for plastic bottles’s cap or for some strong plastic bags.
(2) SS nonwoven fabric is a two plys spunbond ,the spunbond is the most widely used nonwoven for disposable wear. It can be made of different fibers: PP, PET, PA, PE, PLA chemical additives can improve the properties of spunbond: for example it can become anti-static or flame retardant or both.
A wide pallet of colors is available: white, gray, black, light blue, dark blue, red, pink, light green, orange ...
(3) SMS Nonwoven Fabric: the SMS is a trilaminate nonwoven, one layer of meltblown nonwoven is sandwiched between two layer of spunbond.
The meltblown has a very high density web of fine fibers and is suitable for applications requiring filtration ( particulates, bacteria, fluids)
The SMS is widely used for surgical gowns and all clothing requiring a high level of isolation like protective coveralls.
Chemical additives can improve the properties of the SMS: it can become for example anti-static, flame retardant, water or alcohol repellent.
